KP Prasha Template

Rule 1

Identify the Main House & Supporting Houses Cusps pertaining to Prashna

1. Retrogression Rules

·         If main House Cusp’s Sublord is Retrograde, then the matter pertaining to Prasha will get delayed until the Sublord becomes direct.

·         If main house cusp's sublord's sublord (need to check planet's sublord) is Retrograde then the matter pertaining to Prashna will get delayed until this Sublord becomes direct.

·         If the Nakshatra Lord (Star Lord) of main house's cuspal sublord is Retrograde then the matter pertaining to Prashna will get permanently negated.

2. Cuspal Sublord of the main house should signify Primary or Supporting Houses.

A planet signifies various houses in the order of strength as follows -

Level 1. House occupied by the star lord of the planet
Level 2. House occupied by the planet itself
Level 3. Houses owned by the star lord of the planet
Level 4. Houses owned by the planet itself (Planet is the Rasi lord here)

Analysis of Main House Cuspal Sub Lord:
Make a note of following houses -
1. Main house Cuspal Sub Lord - House occupation, House Ownership 
2. Star Lord of main house Cuspal Sub Lord - House occupation, House Ownership
3. Planet in Conjunction of Main House Cuspal Sub Lord - House occupation, House Ownership
4. Main house Cuspal Sub Lord's sub lord - House occupation, House Ownership

When it comes to Rahu and Ketu, they are considered agents to Sign Lord of their occupation - They get the ownership of Sign Lord's House occupation, Ownership plus their own House of Occupation

Rule 2

Observe the Cusps of Lagna & Moon

If Lagna & Moon are connected to the Main House or Supporting Houses pertaining to Prashna then it indicates that Querant is sincere towards the Prashna. The Prediction has strength to come true.

9th House denotes Purvapunya. So important Houses would be, the main house pertaining the Prashna & the same number of houses (as is the main house) as counted from 9th House, these denote Unfinished business from Past Life.

If Lagna and 9th house are connected then it indicates Purva Punya. And possibility of prediction coming true are high. 

Rule 3

Significators & Ruling Planets

Finding House Significators
Significator for a house in the order of strength are as follows –
Level 1.Star Lord of occupants of that house
Level 2. Planets in that house
Level 3. Planets in the star of owners of that house
Level 4. Owner of that house

Rahu and Ketu act as an agent of the planet(s) -
(a) the planet conjoining or aspecting
(b) owner planet of the sign in where it is placed

Significators (Start from D and move towards A)

House Pertaining to Prashna

A (Planets in B’s Nakshatras)

B (Planets in House pertaining to Prashna) 75% Strength

C (Planets in the Nakshatra of Sign Lord) 50% Strength

Ruling Planets

Ruling Planets in the order of Strength:

1.       The Star Lord of the Ascendant

2.       The Sign Lord of the Ascendant

3.       The Star Lord of the Moon

4.       The Sign Lord of the Moon

5.       The Day Lord

6.       Sublord of Ascendant

7.       Sublord of Moon

Five Ruling Planets above are taken at the Time of Query or Judgment. Additional 2 (6&7 can be taken as per necessity.

Rahu & Ketu and Ruling Planets

·         If Rahu or Ketu is conjoining or aspects a Ruling Planet, or if Rahu or Ketu is posited in a sign owned by one of the Ruling Planets, then Rahu and/or Ketu should be included as a Ruling Planet.

·         The Ruling planet which is in the Star or Sub of a retrograde planet should be omitted.

Find Common between Significators & Ruling Planets

Rule 4

Positional Status & Punarpoo Dosha

Positional Status

 

·         Planet in its own Star

·         No planets in own Star

 

Punarpoo Dosha

It is said that whenever Saturn has any connections with the Moon, obstacles arise giving delays, along with headaches, fears, and anxieties. These uncertainties are caused by the distressing combination of the Saturn/Moon connections.

 1.   Punarphoo is a term for Moon‐Saturn aspects in the Natal Chart.

 2.   Punarphoo pertains to any one of the following:

   Saturn in the star of the Moon and his own Sub,

   or Moon is in the star of Saturn and in her own Sub,

   or if Moon and Saturn are in the same Sign.

 3. The condition pertains also if the Moon is in the Star of Saturn and in the Sub of the Moon, or if the Moon is the 3rd or 10th sign from Saturn, to Saturn's 3rd and 10th aspect from the Moon.

 4. Punarphoo also applies to Saturn aspects to the chart in general.

 

Cancellation takes place briefly when:

 1. Saturn or Moon are found in association with Sun, in one sign. (Could be divided into two bhavas).

 2. Sun is in the Star of either of them.

 3. Sun is in a Star, Lord of which is near either Moon or Saturn.

 4. When there is any planet close to the Moon or Saturn, in the Star of the Sun.

 5. And lastly, Saturn or Moon is in the Sub Sub of the Sun.

 

 

Rule 5

Dasha, Antardasha, Pratyantara Dasha & Transits

 

·         Planets should not be Retrograde in DBA (Dasha Bhukti Antra)

·         Annual transits should be considered while prediction. Jupiter & Venus Moudhyami should be taken into consideration too.

Birth Time Rectification

This is based on the rule proposed by Shri.M.P.Shanmugham in “Astrosecrets and KP”, Volume – 2, 2003 Edition, pp. 80 – 85. There has to be a connection between the ASC sublord and MOON starlord.
